81 percent of Virginia high-schoolers graduate on time

 According to the U.S. Department of Education, Virginia is improving its on-time graduation rate. In 2009, 78 percent of high school seniors graduated on time, compared to an improved 81 percent in 2010. There was also a decrease in the amount of high school dropouts.

Some People in Lynchburg Actually Prefer to Work in the Cold

 In Lynchburg, when it’s hot, it’s hot, and when it’s cold, it’s cold. Because of the complications that the heat causes, some people in Lynchburg actually prefer to work outside in the cold, because it decreases symptoms of health problems such as asthma. However, Dr. Thomas Eppes warns against being to careless in the cold, because of the problems it could cause.


 

Jonathan Agee pleads no contest in Montgomery County shooting

Jonathan Agee could get life in prison after pleading no contest to recent crimes. Not only did he murder his ex-wife, but shortly afterwards he was involved in the shooting of state trooper Matt Brannock. His final hearing is still in the works.
